How to properly perform the exercise: from a lunge to a lunge on a plate?
The movement is performed by:
- the thighs and glutes
Additionally, it works:
- the calves, back, and abs
Starting position:
Stand with your feet hip-width apart, with your feet on the plates. Bend your elbows, and place your hands in front of your chest. Keep your back straight and your abs tight. Shift your weight onto your left leg.
Movement: Push the plate forward with your right leg and bend your knees – right over your foot, left over the floor. Return to the starting position and immediately push your right leg back and bend your knees again – this time, left over your foot, and right over the floor. Return to the starting position. Repeat, and then practice with the other leg.
Tip: Feet hip-width apart. Don't roll your knee inward. Bend your knee over your foot. Back Straight, abs tight.
You'll need paper plates to perform this exercise.
