Do it right

More about exercise technique

Do it Right is a library of short videos about the technique of individual exercises. Each film covers one thing: how to set your body up, how the movement actually runs, which muscles do the work, which assist, and the mistake people most often make in that particular exercise.

It is material you come back to at a specific moment — when something mid-set does not match how it should feel. Your lower back speaks up in a deadlift, your knee drifts inward in a squat, your shoulder rides towards your ear on a press, your wrist hurts in a plank. In each of those cases the problem is usually not the weight but the setup.

The videos are short, need no equipment and no warm-up, and can be watched literally between sets from a phone propped on a bench. Every exercise is labelled by name and muscle group, so you can find it whether you know what the movement is called or only know what you want to strengthen.

Fixing technique usually shows results faster than adding another set — and more to the point, it decides whether in a month you are still training or nursing an injury.
